SEE YOU AT THE POLE SEPTEMBER 24, 2008
What a great opportunity for our youth to bear testimony through prayer! I hope you will encourage your students to be a part of a “See You at the Pole” gathering at your school! In fact, I would encourage adults to gather for a time of prayer at the same time your students are gathering at school! It’s a great time to share in concentrated corporate prayer for our nation, our schools, and our communities!
NEW HYMNAL WORKSHOP!!
Over the next couple of months, the Worship/Fellowship Team is going to be finalizing plans for a “New Hymnal Workshop” along with a special time of Associational Worship in music. Maybe you are aware....maybe you aren’t....LifeWay is in the process of bringing churches a new Baptist Hymnal. But this hymnal will have much more available than just a new song book!! There will be quite a variety of options available with the new hymnal! ASSOCIATIONAL HYMN-SING & WORSHIP!! OCTOBER 5, 2008 Conference will begin at 3:00 P.M. Hymn-Sing & Worship will begin at 6:30 P.M. Grover Park Baptist Church John Francis, worship leader from the Missouri Baptist Convention will be in our association to lead this one-day conference at Grover Park Baptist Church. The conference will begin at 3:00 P.M. I really encourage anyone who is a worship leader in their church to be at this event! There will also be a Sunday evening associational-wide Hymn-Sing and Special Music time of worship and fellowship! This will also be held at Grover Park Baptist Church and will begin at 6:30 P.M. I know that some of you have Sunday evening programs in your church. I hope you will consider making this evening of worship through music an alternative for this one week. If you don’t have Sunday evening programs in your church.....well.....now, you have a good place to spend your evening singing and being a part of a good time of worship together!! John Francis will also be leading worship at WCBA’s Annual Meeting on October 6 at FBC, Centerview! That meeting will begin at 7:00 P.M. SHOW-ME SUNDAY
I hope you will set this date on your calendar now and begin planning for High Attendance in Sunday School! More information will be available from the State Convention, but I just wanted to share this date with you.....hope you’ll make this a special church-growth event for your church! Set a HIGH goal and strive HARD to make it a reality!!
